Devon County - Scout Aero Camp
4th to 6th June 2010 
We have a limited number of places for Scouts over the age of 13 to attend this, our 6th annual event. The weekend will take place at Belle Vue Air Strip, near Torrington and the Scouts will work towards three badges:- Due to the nature of this event, participants from previous year cannot attend as they will already have the badges. We are again indebted to “Devon Strut” a local branch of the “Light Aircraft Association” who organise all the activities for us. We are looking for Scouts over the age of 13 on 1st March who are keen to obtain these badges. Please note the being around aircraft is very dangerous and we expect all Scouts who attend, not only be capable of, but actually behave responsibly. There will be a requirement for the young people to carry out some pre event work. The cost for the weekend will be £160 for a party of four Scouts and a leader this is to cover catering and event logistics. Participants will also get (weather permitting) at least one FREE flight. [Note to Leaders: No charge is made for any Aircraft Flights – as per the applicable rules [POR] and regulations [ANO] and no flights are guaranteed.] Places are ONLY open to Leaders who will undertake to bring FOUR Scouts and attend themselves to help with the running of the event on a first come basis. The four Scouts can be from the same, Group, District or Geographic Area, it’s your choice. Intitially, only one party from each District will be accepted and priority will be given to groups who have not previously attened this event. BOOKINGS CANNOT BE MADE FOR LESS THAT FOUR SCOUTS. Applications must be on the attached form by 12th April, together with the appropriate fee.
