  • Adult Selection for WSJ in North America

    Well what a weekend we all had at Caddihoe! Over 100 scouts and Explorers had fun whilst assisting in selecting the leaders to take our young people to the next World Scout Jamboree in North America. The weekend included everything from playing with Fire Toys to taking part in Ballista building. Even the rain didn't stop the fun! The camp opened on the Friday night with a Scout band from Bradninch, this was followed by a great UV party hosted by Jack. On the Saturday the leaders under selection started with their bases and the organising team threw typical jamboree incidents into the day which kept them on their toes, it was amazing how suddenly we had lots of home sick youngster who all wanted to go home at the same time. The camp fire chief not turning up and the leaders having to sort. Young people had fun playing games and building ballista's to test young people's pioneering skills, this also involved leaders teaching young people some useful knots. Scout Radio sent...
