Scouts of the World - Devon Discovery Weekend

Scouts of the World Award - Devon Discovery Weekend

This amazing award for Scout Network members begins with attendance at a Discovery weekend where you will explore the key themes of Development, Peace and Environment. The discovery will support your understanding of the award requirements and how with the support of a mentor you can develop your SOWA voluntary project. Your project can be undertaken on your own or as part of a small group and is selected by you. the project should include 80 hours of voluntary service to achieve and can be undertaken in this country or abroad. You do not need to have selected a project to attend the Discovery as part of the purpose of the weekend is to generate ideas. More details can be found at scouts.org.uk/sowa

When: 21st,22nd,23rd April

Where: Okehampton Youth Hostel (if required we can arrange transport to and from Exeter St Davids Station - please ask participants to contact us to arrange this)

Arrival on Friday 21st April at 7pm

Depart Sunday 23rd April 4pm

Cost - 65 payable to Devon Scouts - food and accommodation provided.
