County Commissioner Role

Could you be our next county commissioner?

We’re currently looking for Devon’s next County Commissioner. As a charity, our core function is to develop life skills in young people through fantastic programmes delivered by our amazing volunteers. So, this ‘County Manager’ role provides oversight and leadership to the County, and we need someone who can provide leadership, motivation and guidance to our adult volunteers so that we are properly able to deliver those fantastic programmes to as many young people as possible.

A large part of this role involves leading the District Commissioners (the ‘District Manager’) and their teams. For any adult volunteer in Scouting, their manager will be a regular point of contact for support.

Prior experience of Scouting is not essential for this role: we’ll make sure you’re fully trained and supported.

We’ve prepared a full information pack so you can read everything about the role.
